A popular symbol of hindu mythology Gandaberunda is a two-headed bird, believed to possess immense magical strength and is capable of fighting the forces of destruction. Its heads resemble the eagle and tail is like that of a peacock.In continuous usage for 500 yrs as a royal emblem, it has a special place in the history of Karnataka- first seen on coins in Vijayanagar mints, it was the royal insignia of the  Wodeyar dynasty of Mysore and is the State symbol today.

Handcrafted using techniques from ancient South Indian antique jewellery this piece is studded with kempu stones.The necklace string is made of gold-dipped, ribbed-design silver beads handwoven in silver wire.
